pull near kc,mo

Anyone familier with a place I think called lathrem,mo. near kansas city,mo. I think there is supposed to be a diesel pull on the 23 of sept. Supposed to be a working truck class, 2.8 class and an open 8500 class. We are thinking about taking a couple of trucks (if I don't have to work). The way they talk they have these all summer long and have quite a few trucks show up.

What pulling association is puttin' on the show?

There are a bunch of guys in the area that try and go to these local pulls. They're trying to work with the MSTPA on setting up a diesel truck class but there is a bit of friction coming from some certain other brand drivers who want to run nitrous which MSTPA doesn't allow.

One of my buddies called the guy and from what I got out of it is they don't any additives in the work truck or the 2.8 class. I was thinking the open class was just that cause they were talking about shied class trucks in it. I will try to get more info tomorrow night. I do know the date is right but that isn't much help.

I understand three diesel classes:work truck, 2.8 no additives, and a open class anything goes8500lbs. Thats about all I know about it. A buddy of mine just got a 2.8 truck running and wants to try it out. It's hard to find pulls this late in the season in the missouri area.

Would anyone be intrested in putting together a diesel class with MMTTPA? I am a board member and plan on proposing a class for next year. We would have about 25 hooks a year with prize money and points money as well. I want to follow the Dhra rules as close as possible in the street diesel. Vist www.mmttpainc.com to see where the pulls were at this year. Thanks Gene

Raheeeeeeeeellllllyyyyy... I did pull at California at your event this year. I'd be willing to entertain the idea. Outlaws were also talking about it but I can't travel that much to hit their events. Your schedule looks a little more travel friendly. MSTPA was as well, but there's some argument over the rules. DHRA rules would suit me.

The way I understand it, if you can get a sponsored diesel class(es) with acceptable rules, a knowledgable tech crew and pays out decent money, the guys will come pull.

MSTPA was as well, but there's some argument over the rules.
The main contention seems to be over the use of nitrous. There seems to be some insurance issues when you allow nitrous. DHRA rules make the most sense, others don't agree.
