On HTS's website there is supposed to be a picture of that truck. It also says that there is a CR running 11.4 on fuel only.

First of all.....just what is 50 hp worth of nitrous?? There is no such thing!! That is not how it works

Second, from his own mouth....... Well.........I run 2 .060 jets and gain 175 hp

You guys really do need to understand what you are talking about before making statements that don't make sense
at 700 psi max, he was getting almost no nitrous. also greg, he did not use 2nd stage but for a second in fear of melting the motor.

The 11.41 fuel only run was member greyrig who has the baddest 3rd gen IMO. James only got one run at the track because he didnt have a rollcage. Who knows what it would get with a little tuning and a better launch...

Everything aside Im just happy to see the common rails making a move.

Once again, congrats.

wade had an ounce of respect there for a day or two and now its all being blown away by these new "findings" and claims of no nitrous in the bottle, and only running one stage, and head winds he was up against.

looks like a ton of excuses again, guess we will see in bowling green. ill be sure to make sure i get the exact wind readings so if he runs an 11.3 again with a head wind we will know for sure its a 10 second truck.

TJ, NOS was in the bottle when he ran 11.3 no doubt, but on sunday it was a different story. i just wanted to tell the whole story not some half true story.

More heat with nitrous? That's funny right there.

Spark Ignition: more NO2 (leaner combustion charge) = hotter

Compression Ignition: more fuel (richer combustion charge) = hotter

You can't melt the piston crowns on a diesel with too much air - or NO2

now wade has his reasons but this is what i understand:

NOS makes for more cylinder psi and more psi makes heat, couple that with alot of fuel and a 66mm charger/ stock cylinder head and you have lots of heat. he said egt's were 1600 by the 1/8 mile mark.

He must have a freak truck then. Nitrous has dropped or leveled EGTs on every truck I've been in. And it usually drops it.

It's my understanding you can spray all the nos you want ,but without the fuel to support it , it will make the motor lay down like a dog. right?
