going to be in a pull next weekend. any tips??

Ok i am going to put my truck in a sled pull next weekend. The class i am gunna put it in is for stock class diesl pickups. only mods u can have is airfilters, programers and exhaust. My truck is a early 04 with 4" straight pipe w/t a stack. a quadzilla x2. and it is a 6sp w/t 3.73's. and i will be running a set of mastercraft 285' 70'17 CT's."there are REAL close to cooper st's"

What gear should i pull in?? low or hi range? Any good tips or anything?? I have never pulled a sled before.

if ya do some searching around here you will probably find your answer. however do yo have a stock or aftermarket clutch?

if ya have something like a double disk i would say 4th low range. if its stock i wouldn't go more then 3rd low range and not slip the clutch much at all or you'll fry it.

Sounds like you'll need to bump up to the work class. If they see smoke in the stock class they'll bump you up.. (Just goin by standard rules)

-HITCH MUST BE MOUNTED IN FACTORY LOCATION

STREET WORK

I know the guy who is running the pulls. He told me programers and exhaust are all u can have. and it MUST be plated and insured. But i dunno what they will say about my lift?

My truck dosn't really smoke that much, even with the smoke mod on my X2.

I am running a stock clutch. " i think?" What ever it had when i bought it at 100k.
