Looks pretty nice!
Mine was similar looking. Much less.... little over $100.00. Went to a Honda 4x4/motor cycle dealership.
Be aware, full face shields take some getting use to! Can't hear the motor inside the helmut. Only required around here if your under 13 sec.

That looks like a very good buy on that helmet. It being an SA2005, it will be legal for a long time.

Full face helmets are now being required for certain classes. I'm assuming that you are talking about one for your pickup, so you can use either a full face or open face helmet. Open face is cooler, full face is quieter. Racing in the diesel classes I like the open face, but I spend most of my time racing in the NHRA pro class, and I like the quiet of the full face. Darn noisy race cars anyway!

I'm not up on the saftey ratings. Can anyone make it simple? Snell? SA2005? DOT? ECE/AS?
Mine says DOT SNELL EC22/05? I know the DOT may or may not be meaningful but the rest....?

as long as the helmet is rating for flame resistants, it good for auto racing. A 2005 rating means the helmet met 5 requirements of the Snell safety foundation.

DOT just means it's ok for street use.

it is approved for use at the tracks I race at, of course I got one that would fit my head, it is open face and cooler breathing. Just trying to save you some money. that seller has tons of helmets, if you search sellers other items, another style may be better for you, but he has the best deals and I got the item 6 days after I "won" it on ebay.

IMPROVISE, ADAPT, OVERCOME. when i sled pulled the second time, they required all drivers to wear a helmet, I just used my Kevlar with 2 pumps worth of sand sweat and blood on it. Dunno if they will like that too much at the strip though.
