Theres gonna be a truck and tractor pull on Saturday the Sept 16th at 4pm. I cant figure out if theres gonna be a diesel class. I called and they told me to register that day, so I will have to see then... I hope so!!

I think I'll have to head out there. No pulling just spectating. Shoot for $5 it's worth it. Even if the pull is a little disapointing there will still be a ton of other things to see.

 

Too bad the sled broke before any trucks got to run. It didn't look like a very large turnout though, the sled owner mike told me a lot of guys canceled due to rain. Oh well, there's a newland pull next weekend.

 

Shooooot. Where were you! I was the one that broke the sled! I first did a full pull, then two other diesel trucks went. Then they changed the weight and on that pull the sled felt SUPER heavy and turns out - the dang thing broke the weight rack rear axle sprokets!! The track sucked, 6" ruts all through it. It wasnt rainy when We pulled. There were lots of fans out there when I was pulling

 

Did it break during your pull or after they started driving it back? I never caught that, and you couldn't see from where I was standing...

 

I have no idea.... I was too busy mudding in the field right after the pull but it makes for a good story!

 

If you recall, the way the break occured, it would have had to have happened when the rack was on its up travel.... soooo

 

Do any of you have any video from that pull????
