We are talking drag racing, right?
I rev it up to 3000 rpm, and on the 3rd yellow, let it out quickly but as smooth as possible as I stomp my right foot down.
Best 60 foots are 1.94. So far, can't get them any better.
I side stepped it once by accident, and it felt and looked (by others) that all 4 tires left the ground.
Suprised nothing broke.

Press clutch and brake.
Position shifter in 3rd gear.
Keep heel on brake and use toe to press skinny pedal all the way in.
Wait for it.
Wait for it.
Slowly let out the clutch.
Wait for it.
Watch boost gage.
Wait for it.
See it flash past 30 psi.
Let off the clutch completely.
4 Wheels in pain and a lot of heat in the clutch.
Oh, and this . . .
Take care,
Phill

I've tried literally dozens of third and fourth gear launches, but have come to the conclusion that if I start in second and short shift into third it is just as fast as launching in third. Less wheelspin, less wear on the clutch, and faster off the line

^^^ I agree, that's been our experience as well.
However, since the '05 still has gear left at the big end of the track, we're going to reconfigure the launch for next season. Using relatively small diameter tires with a relatively wide footprint (that can still handle the trucks race weight) we'll launch in 3rd with the new clutch no problem. By eliminating one gear change - the hardest one - and improving the 60' I expect a better ET and a modest increase in MPH... of course, the reduced rolling resistance, frontal area and rotating mass of the new shoes will help, too!

pulled a 14.2@100mph by putting my 6speed in 3rd, then holding the rpms at 3200, and slowly but steadily just let the clutch out. its slips a little, gets the boost up and was still able to pull at 2.2 60' then shift easy the rest of the way down the tracks.
here is a video of some of my slower runs that day, didnt get the 14.2 on video

You would of been alot better off just reving it to 2500 in 2nd gear 4x4 and dump it.
You have a better ET and MPH then me but I have a better 60ft. 1.97 and 2.02.
Sounds and looks like it was slipping.

I just installed my line lock and SPEC super twinn....and we will see where that gets me next year. This year with a slipping clutch till the 330' ended up like this.
60' = 2.466
1/8 = 8.802@86.96
1/4 = 13.116@109.45
ran a 12.8 on my g-tech which is pretty accurate, but couldn't back it up at the track. It was when the clutch was still new.

I got it from summit racing....and I tried a few so far....so far i can build about 15 psi of boost before the truck breaks free of the brakes. Which is pretty much perfect.
