Well...not saying I'm a pro, but if your talking about one of our trucks, I rev the motor to 2200RPM and dump the clutch while in 4wd...If I had line lock I'd probably hold that and let the clutch grab just enough to build boost to 10lbs or so, but since I don't have 3 feet I can't do that, and it'll fry the clutch pretty quick, so racing only...and with a good clutch.

with my old double disk clutch, id red line the engine and slip the clutch till i built about 35-40 psi of boost (crazy, i know) Then i'd let the clutch all the way out, in 4x4 of course, and you better hold on. That would spin all 6 tires

i used my left foot strictly for the clutch, and my right for the brake and accelerator. My size 13 boot is wide enough to put on both at once. Makes it alot easier

Man tht would be hard to do. 35 -40 pounds wow I'm suprised you didn't break anything. I thought 20 pounds was getting pretty crazy but 40 has got to be hard on u joints, axles, rear end, input shafts, and so on.

I love the sound when someone launches it in 4wd. I raced a durasmack in a 12 valve and the first race I wasn't thinking raced him in 2wd and he beat me. After listening to 2 weeks of bragging from him I called him out to race again, 2500rpm dumping the clutch in 4wd and I put a good 3 trucks on him. That was the last time that ole durasmack raced me. Boy I felt good.

Did the same as black diesel, bring up the revs, and let it slip. 3rd gear launches. I'd rev it to 3k, and I'd be off the clutch when it was around 2500 rpm. Was at full boost at that point.

pulled a 14.2@100mph by putting my 6speed in 3rd, then holding the rpms at 3200, and slowly but steadily just let the clutch out. its slips a little, gets the boost up and was still able to pull at 2.2 60' then shift easy the rest of the way down the tracks.

here is a video of some of my slower runs that day, didnt get the 14.2 on video

Probably, but you gotta pay to play! With my old OFE I would rev to 3500 and dump and it would launch hard. I havent truck my DD yet. Kinda scared on what that would do to my neck.

I always put it in 4x4, take it to just a very lil under the redline. Hold the brake and start easin out on the clutch till i get around 35psi. still keeping my rpms high. One hand on the shifter, one hand on the wheel. Then I dump it, shift through 2nd 3rd and 4th without letting off the throttle.
