Hemi Wins

I can't believe it either but this 06 mega cab hemi beat a 04 Duramax with the Banks six guns And a powerstroke I don't know if a 7.3 or a 6.0 And their were no Cummins entered. I didn't see this first hand but heard from a reliable friend. The last pull I went to I didn't enter because my clutch was going and I did see this Hemi out pull the Duramax but She lost to a 6.0 powerstroke but it was close.

First question is what has been done to that Hemi???

There was a presumably stock Hemi that pulled in Emporia, Kansas last weekend as 'exhibition'(forgot to the read the rules that it was a 8500 Street Diesel class instead of a brush pull) and the diesels put, on average, 100+ feet on the guy...

Tires, weight or hitch heights or all of the above probably played a part.

Setup has a lot to do with how a truck pulls. You could toss a tired old 318 2bbl in Schieds pulling truck and it would likely outpull most any truck on this board.

doh, relable me "stupid"!!!

I didnt even read the "pulling" part...I assumed it was a drag race :

in that case I agree...something with a megacab's weight distribution and wheelbase would definetl have an advantage.

The first pull that I saw the Hemi pull tires and suspension looked stock, so did the exhaust becasuse you couldn't even here the engine. The Duramax was smoking so I know he had is Six guns on. I was really surprised when I saw it pull and do what it did. I think I need to get a video camera to record it because seeing is believing.
