My cp3 is performing really well,I getting stage 2 from relentless diesel hopefully next week ,it should be good for another 40-50hp.I am also going to be ordering a cam next week, how do you like your helix 3?I think I am leaning towards the helix 2.Cams are a confusing subject, everyone likes the f1 cams ,but I have not seen any advertised gains,on the other hand I have seen piers cam pick up 35hp on a dyno.I think DonM is a pretty smart guy and he knows what he is doing , so i will probably end up buying one.

RCCOX, The Helix 3 is best from what I've read for a modified CP3..but you will need the spring kit also which doubles the $$$. $750 for cam, $200 for Bolt on gear $600 for Springs. Given your level of power this is a good investment. When your flexplate went did it trash anything else. Check the pump...mine was trashed when the flexplate went. Good luck on the 11's. ks

helix 3

The cam is great , smooth idle & the twins seem to like it. Im no expert but they seem to spool before the fuel hits. I have no dyno numbers.
I think the thrill will come when we start turning more RPMS . IM hoping smarty takes us closer to 4000.

Did you have your pump replaced when u changed the flex plate or did you not realize until after?? I just broke my 2nd flexplate and put an ATS one in,now the tranny is leaking and temps have increased a little. what could this be??

My pump was fine when I broke the flexplate,I just had to get the bushing replaced, after that episode this past friday night I went back to the track to try to break into the 11's and I blew my head gasket.I knew it was hurt when I put the studs in ,but I thought it would hold,I thought wrong.

Oh well. That is a lot of stress on stuff! Get it fixed,a nd try the track again. Sounds to me like you should be able to pull 11's .
