Well, I've got about 450 miles on the ticker now and my buddy that I work with has an 01 F350 Powerstroke, Automatic with full 4" straight pipe and aftermarket air intake. We raced about 4 times from about a 20 MPH roll and we were pretty even at first and then I pulled away easily every time. My truck is a 6-speed so I know I was losing some ground in between shifts because of losing boost but it didn't make a difference.

Out of curiosity, these hard runs 4 or 5 times 3rd gear through 6 pedal down. Am I stupid by doing this with so few miles or is everything legit?

cool, honestly you're doing your engine a favor by working it. The engine needs to be worked in order for the rings to seat themselfs, so drive it like you stoll it and don't worry about it.
