First time at the track!!
I just got back from Bandimere here in Colorado, it was the "take it to the track night." It was awesome, never raced before, got there late and ran once, but I got a 17.921 with a R/T of .124. I know I can get better, but happy for the first go around.
It was mostly Ferds here, one other Cummins, but he ran a ~14 and wooped them
Does that time seem about right for my setup? I was wondering if the clutch could have slipped at all, I didn't feel anything obvious though.
One more, with a 5spd, how do you guys launch? I dropped it from like 2600 in 2nd.

Can't wait to go back!

That sounds pretty close to what it oughta be. You need to put a drag comp with some injectors in that bad boy. I always put mine in 4hi 2nd gear and I would rev it up to about 2500 and let it out slow at first until you hear that turbo start to spool and then let it out a little faster until it fully grabs. If you had a good clutch you could probably launch like that in 3rd. Your stock clutch won't take many boosted launches like that though.
Yeah you gotta run in 4wd to get these trucks to leave right.

Next time I go I will have an edge comp on it, I will try the 4x4 launch, but in 2nd, I will be upgrading the clutch shortly. Thanks for the input, can't wait to beat those Ferds!
The drag comp fuels to 3200 rpm and the regular comp fuels to 2700 rpm. The drag comp feels much stronger even though it isn't supposed to gain any power. My old 01 ran much better with the drag upgrade.
