Good question, I hope someone chimes in. I'd like to get mine in the 13's someday, but I'm in no rush. If only money grew on trees.

There was a reg cab dually that was running 11's I believe with a 5-speed, and later went to an auto. Tried searching for it, but I had no luck. It was a 12v though. But toss a p-pump on a 24v, and its still a 24v, right?

Yeah your right on that.It still would be a 24V.I was kinda curious about the ones that still run the VP44's though.I know you can really make'em fly with the P-Pump's but i don't have that kind of money and was just wondering how fast i could go with the VP still on there.I think the truck you're thinking about is Jeff Prince's truck. It's a regular cab dually thats red and white. It was smoking fast for a 5 speed!

Thats the guy!

Mike Holmen is making 677 on #2 only with a VP truck. With a 5 speed, I'm sure you'd be deep in the twelves with a good launch.

heh, i think you'd be faster with a 2nd gear launch. 3rd may be better with 4.10's, but im running 3.55's

i launch way faster in 3rd gear 2wd or 4wd then in 2nd gear 4wd...plus i have never missed the pull back shift from 3-4, but i often miss 2-3 when trying to hit it really fast at the track

I be happry with high 14's in my rig I would think you's have to be pushing h20/meth and nitrous to get way in to the 12's and run a DD that shifts fast
