et bracket racing questions
ok i dont quiet understand et bracket racing. i hadnt found a set of rules to read that explains it. im new to racing, truck has been to the track a couple of times on like friday night safe street night. i been going to the diesel drags and i still dont understand et bracket racing...maybe if i got a hold of a rule book.

you go and run 2 time trial runs. say you run a 13.12 and a 13.16. you would then put 13.1 on your window. that is your dial in time. you go and leave the line and try to run as close to that time as you can with out going to fast. but the key is to beat the truck next to you.
if you dial in at 13.1 and truck #2 dials in at 12.1 your light will go green 1 sec before his does. if you both run your dial in you should cross the line at the same time. then who ever had the better R/T should win.
go to your local drag way and watch Footbrake or PRO bracket. there will be a lot of ride the brakes to slow down just enough to beat the other car and not break out.

NADM's rulebook is free to download on our site under drag racing!
It isn't how fast but how accurate you are to reaction time at the tree and estimating time to run down the track. Running multiple times can get you some experience.
Almost had a 19 second TDI Jetta win last race because of his precise estimated time!
