DynoJet results...

Well I ran my truck on a dynojet for the 1st time on saturday and I was pretty impressed with the results. The only other time I have dynoed was on a mustang and I put down 352/660 with water/meth.

On the sheet below, run #002 was with water/meth, and its just about the same setup that I ran on the mustang. Run #003 was with my new nitrous setup and no water/meth. Run #004 was with water/meth and a very small amount of nitrous, as you can tell. I am still running the stock HX35 and stock injectors.

You got 66HP/206 ft-lb more on a Dyno Jet than on a Mustang??

The changes made to my truck since I dynoed on the Mustang are:

1. Ported head with .020" gasket
2. F1 valve springs
3. Ported exhaust housing and enlarged wastegate (set to 32psi)
4. I dynoed in OD instead of 3rd

Fueling is the same, water/meth is setup the same with 50/50 mix.

you could easily have a 500hp plus truck with some injectors and a turbo very nice setup. seems to work well with your truck.

A dynojet inherently reads higher than a Mustang Dyno. I own a small performance shop specializing in late model GM muscle cars, for the ECM tuning, a dynojet is basically useless as it does not load the motor for a true A/F ratio reading. Dynojets give pretty numbers, but mustang dyno's are a more realistic idea of what hits the ground, plus much better for tuning purposes.

I agree. When I dyno on a Mustang the pyro sky rockets and power goes down. It loads my truck harder than driving down the track. It makes a lot of pre intercooler heat without enough air to cool the intercooler.
Notice any difference driving since porting the head? Do it yourself?

I noticed the same thing when on the Mustang, pegged pyro and a lot more load on the truck than drag racing.

I did the head myself and I dont have accurate results to compare before and after because when I had the truck apart I ported the exhaust housing on the turbo and enlarged the wastegate in order to keep the boost down to 32 where I want it instead of 35 or more. I also put it back together with a .020" thicker headgasket and the new valve springs, so with all the changes at once I cant say the effects of just porting the head. The truck did run about 3-4 tenths quicker after all of this was done.

From the dyno sheet, it seems as though you don't have enough fuel dialed in to support the use of nitrous... acts as if combustion is being quenched when you add the cooling effect of nitrous on top of the water/meth system.

May I ask where in the graph you see this?
