Is a dyno hard on the clutch?

Is a dyno hard on the clutch?

Just wondering if I'm gonna slip when I go to the dyno on April 12th.

The only time ive dynoed, i seemed to get lots more load on the street that that guy did on the rollers. It hardly smoked and buzzed up super quick much quicker than on the street. So id say if it lives as your driving it now youll be fine on the dyno. IMO

If it doesn't slip on the street I think it will be fine on the dyno.

Depends on the dyno. I have seen trucks do fine on a DynoJet and a load type dyno where it works your truck not do so well.

I wished then i could have been on a 'load style' dyno. Ive got the clutch for heck the guy could hardly even back it up the steep incline to get it up on the rollers. He said man thats the most grabby clutch i ever felt.

I didn't think my FE felt too bad when I first got it in but now that its seated well. It does not like to slip. But dropping it in third at a stop sign sure is fun.

It Might slip because the dyno you going on is a mustang but, You can set the load however you want. I'll help ya!

My stock clutch slipped on the dyno the first time with my Puck/Predator stack, but with my SBC 3600# DD and Smarty/TST stack it did not slip on the same dyno. My stocker had never slipped before the dyno, but I had also never driven it turned up that much. I guess the best answer is if you drive it on the street the same as you are going to dyno and it does not slip then you will be fine.
