Hmmm, Vettes arent fast? Wow, thats a new one on me, I mustve had my head in the dirt for the last couple years...the new Z06 is plenty fast, 505hp 427 in a ~3100lb car-hits 60 in 3.2-3.6 100 in about 8 quarter in 11.7@125... nah thats not fast is it? Thats a slow SOB...

The 08 Viper; 600hp, 3400lb 0-60 about 3.4 quarter should be low 12s, pretty quick in my book. The Vipers problem has always been traction and weight, its always packed more lbs than the Vette but has still been fairly close.

Stock Lightning? 0-60 6.2, 14.6 quarter

Anything modded is gonna be faster, so... And Hennessey does make a 1000hp twin turbo Viper:0-60 mph 2.9 sec, 0-100 5.9 sec, 0-150 10.9 sec, 0-200 19.9 sec top speed around 255. That must not be fast either?

Just wondering what the definition of fast is...they both sound pretty quick to me

 

thats sad i have seen street driven cummins run in mid 11s with a single charger and i know that truck was alot heavier than that viper.

There is a sweet shop in Orlando, my brother rode in a 1100 hp viper (like 1300 on nos) and he said he has never felt anything like it. He has an r1 and around a 500 hp 03 cummins so he has an idea of what fast is. The guy at the shop used to work for Hennessey, and they put twin kits on vipers, srt 10 pickups and vets.

PS. the car he rode in is a low 9 second car, they are shooting for 8s with some more tuning and more traction.
