Jamie, what is your pressure at idle? You dont want to be higher than around 15 to 20,, otherwise you will get a knock from your injectors... and honestly when you are at wot it stays above 2 or 3 psi you are golden,, if it drops below that it isnt a pressure situation that you have, it is a volume situation,, which means that springs wont help,, you would need to go to a higher gpm pump like I did.. There is a trick to raising the pressure without putting in springs, but like i said if idles at 14 to 20 I wouldnt worry about it

Hey Kevin. I'm idling around 13 psi and down to about 8 psi on full kill. My last pump seemed to be way stronger but way louder. Just seems weird that the new one pulls down 5 psi where the old FASS would only pull down 3 psi. I guess 2 psi difference doesn't matter as long as it's not too low. Must have something to do with the new quiet pumps? Thanks bud..

Jamie if it turns out you need a higher volume pump I have 150/150 pums here at the shop but I think you should be good with what you have Kevin is right I had to high of pressure on one truck we did and the injectors knocked hard till i put a 95/150 on it.

The pump I have is the 95 series(small body), 150 gal FASS. I've always had the 150 gal. The lowest I can drag it down to is 8 psi. My truck is actually an 01' and "the wife said" I have to drive it till spring. I have 2 guys here in Red Deer that will give me $30,000 tomorrow but I can't let it go until spring.

Was that on a VP or CR truck? I've never had any unusual noises out of my injectors, and that from the stock LP at 5 psi to 45psi on my current setup. I had a 150/150 FASS before my current 95/150, and it would push between 17-21 psi at idle, and could suck it down to about 12-13 on a hard run.

If your driving a 01 truck you need more than 8 psi at the injection pump. The 3rd gen truck is a different animal, it has more fuel at the injector than the VP. A VP truck is cheaper to mod than a CR. As Kevin said at this kinda of HP, you need a worked heavy modifed tranny to last. I would have pull better numbers at the dyno, my turbos just didn't lite. My pull I only saw 35psi of boost. I've pull more than 70+ driving around town a couple of times, so there a couple more ponies still left in her. Saying that I'm still not going to break the 700 barrier at Edmonton elevation. Vancouver maybe, but not Edmonton. If I ran the nos and methanol, my truck could be in the 900 area. You need to run everything in cause if your not, some else is. Not too many truck break the 1000 barrier just on #2.

Last Dyno results.

1135 Hp to the wheels.... dyno went to 2000 ft lbs we flat lined the dyno and we spun the wheels.
Only made 72 psi on the dyno and we run 95 on the track so we ahve more power there.

Will be running in Vegas for Mopars at the Strip first race of the season so we will see if our new changes did anything for us.
