All out 12v

If i wanted to build and most all out power streetable 12v, with money not being a problem, what would i need?

I would like to beable to turn about 5000RPM if possable. I would think something like Billet connecting rods, fly cut, balanced crank, gridel, ceramic coated pistions (from who?) stupid pump or something of the sort, BIG twins (but what turbos?) what am i missing?

This truck would only be driven on the weekends to play/ pull. this is partly dreaming right now but may become reality in the next couple years.

You wouldn't really need the billet rods, might balance your factory stuff for 5k but billet isn't needed.

The price i have above is for Marine rods not billet rods. And yes you do want heavy duty rods. The only other option is to have the stock rods shot peened.

What would shot peening them do? I haven't heard of anyone doing that before.

What would your end HP level goal be? What I would do is...

Helix II cam or a custom cut from somebody...
Fire Ringed head with 12mm studs and a 20 over HG
mild to wild port and polish
60lb Valve Springs
5x.016 injectors or bigger
Balanced rods, crank and pistons
Laser Cut DV's
ALL the free stuff to a P7100 to add fuel, on the smaller pumps use the mack plug
21* Timing or more
HX40/16 and S480 twinset

I think that could put you over 700hp and then you could add nitrous to get to 1k IMO

Well IMO I don't think driving 1000hp on fuel only is going to be possible on the street. John P has a massive water system on his truck and he is running 800rwhp with a 62/s300 and B2 combo. To get another 200hp of fuel only it would deffinately need a reworked pump and to cool it all you would need some twins that are big like a 1.01 a/r GT4294 and HX80.

Joe Hellmann has/had a 950ish 12v and he was running a K31 with 17cm housing and HX80 with 32cm housing. That setup was doing 126lbs of boost...

SHot peening is basically a like heat treating makes the metal harder and less likely to break...

Shot peening does not change the material hardness. It does not make the rod stronger per se. It reduces stress on the surface of the rod. Cracks can form on stressed areas easier. The peening is a preventative measure ( though not 100% PERFECT ) to slow cracks from forming.

Well I know the stock bottom end, and stock a mean bone stock hasn't been touched yet will turn 5k down the track, thats also leavin the line with 41 pounds of boost.

I know a guy that has a 97 pull truck that done it all last season.

sure it can be done but your playing with fire. that's how you end up rebuilding a motor halfway through the season.
