Geeez Fredw............How do you know it was stock? Let the guy shine for a while. Why do you feel the need to rain on his parade?

Ya know, I think the members of this forum are getting grumpy.

the D-max was modded. I know it had exhaust and a bigger turbo cause I could here the turbo spool, also had a TST sticker on the back window.
It was modded-still wasted him easily.

Oh he was in a duramax that's why he lost (just kidding). I was actually thinking about trading in my 05 for one of those new Duramaxs with the 6spd allison and that new motor. I heard they are a very good running truck. I am kinda getting tired of shifting my 6spd anyways and I no matter what anybody says I do not want a dodge with an automatic I have owned 2 all ready and will not own another one.

i wasted a duramax today...he said he had a 6 position chip, intake, and exhaust. i had my comp turned off and beat him once...then he decided to ride my bumper like an idiot so i flipped the comp on and gave him a 1/4 mile of 6th gear smoke...he came up again and wanted to run...so i left the comp on and walked away like he was in reverse.

this one wasnt stock and i had my comp off when i waxed him the first time...after that i was just picking on him

I agree, however with recent developments in "the other brands diesel products", our battles are tougher to come by...LOL..

Let him enjoy it, the mods were a little tougher to come by with some dirty hands, unlike the uploader and other bolt-ons of the DM. I think you earn some respect in my book by knowing how to do the mechanical upgrades. Too many "hat backward" kids with uploaders these days...

Good kill. I will give you props.

But no modded turbo for 06 yet. Unless its top secret.

This is what I was thinking the sound he heard was probably from an open element air filter.

I would agree. Turbos for the Duramax have come along very slow, and very expensive. I dont know why that is though. I know they look like a PIA to change as well.
