98 Stang GT v.s. 05 2500
So im at the red light and these (3) kids roll up next to me in a older mustang (the 97-98 body style) GT 5-spd with exhaust. He rolls pass. rolls down his window and says "Nice truck but I dont like the Vikings" and the driver looks at me like he's ready to race. My truck is a bone stock 2500 Automatic. Green light we both punch it and NO WHEEL SPIN. I quickly jump on him and stay 1/2 car in front of him till about 65 where he then gets neck to neck with me and finishes 1/2 car in front at about 80. I was extrememly suprised at the outcome. I also ran my truck a few days ago and the best I got was 16.55 1/4 mile. Bone stock Automatic, quad cab and over a 100lbs of chains, binders, tools.....etc in my toolbox.... good run??

my buddy had a '95 GT 5-speed and my old truck (dakota 5.2 5-speed 4x4 Club cab) could beat his mustang bone stock.
if you seen one mustang you've seen them all.

I beat a 2002 or so mustang Gt on the Highway the other night. I will say I didn't stomp him he kept up real good. WE went form about 70 to 100mph. I had the juice on level 5 and the Bully dog on performance. He would of handed me one if I was stock. This was in my 05 of course.

Last real street run I went up against a '01-'03 Lightning. I did have the BDPP on extreme, so I proceded to turn the Edge up to 5. I thought for sure I would be on the loosing end of a close race. Boy was I ever wrong. Built 10psi. at the line let er role a truck length and hammered it. Only one guy in each truck. All I saw were headlights slowly fading till my speed limiter kicked in at 110mph. By then he was 3 lengths behind and blew by me at 130+ once he caught up. I thought, "must have got the drop on him" but this scene played itself out 2 more times before we both pulled into a quicky mart. The 1st thing the kid does is get out of his truck with a huge grin and an open hand gesture to shake and congratulate me. This was my 1st real test of what my CTD could do and it truly surprised me.

Well, if we had shut off at 65, than I wouldve won, but since we shut off at 75-80, he pulled 1/2 car. But I do agree with trik396, is that how much my truck weighs BTW?? 05 2500 Quad, shot box, 48RE??
