MDW:

Thank you for your kind words too! I have watched what you have done over the last few years with your truck and highly respect the accomplishments you have made Sir! Heck,.....a good number of us are "chasing" all your fast trucks there in Texas! You guys set the bar pretty high!

Take care.

I've only heard it once and that person was over a second slower than us.

Well when I get settled into my job back home I'm going to go to ebay and find me a 305 or 600 motor and go ahead and send it to scheid to build it to the tee... I'll see you at a Scheid event in the future John, you have my word on that... We can school everyone who says Scheid doesn't know how to build motors... Me on the West Coast and you on the East...

Wooo Hooo!! I knew the 11s weren't more than a good run away. And I still think it has more in it, too. A good non-hopping launch and a little less weight... who knows.

I'm still trying to mount a convincing argument for installing a rollbar....

Johnner, thanks alot buddy!

I want you guys to know that my son Johnner has been very instrumental in helping me "tune" the truck even more since I got it back to make it run as good as it has! He amazes me with his knowledge and expertise all the time and I know I am one lucky father to have a son like him! Johnner,......you are the best!

Congratulations on the 11 sec. run, they should of let you continue to run since the rule is 11.49 for a roll bar.

Straight from NHRA specs-
Stock
· Exhaust system for turbo applications, aftermarket header permitted. Turbo must be located in engine compartment.

· Crossmember may be altered for oil-pan removal.

· Weight of piston (without pin, locks, or rings) must be equal to or exceed minimum piston weight as listed in NHRA piston list.

· Roll bar mandatory on any car running 11.49 or quicker; permitted in slower cars. Roll cage mandatory in any car running 9.99 or quicker; permitted in all vehicles.

· Driver restraint system meeting SFI Spec 16.1 mandatory on any car running 11.49 or quicker

How much does the truck weigh?

Howling:

Thanks for the input. You are right, the rule is 11.49, but our tracks insurance liability carrier makes the "cut-off" at 11.99. I don't mind, they have been good to us "dieselheads" there.

Thanks.

Howling,

It's unfortunate, but true on what John_P is saying about the 11.99 rule at our local track. I asked one of the workers out there about it this weekend and mentioned that the NHRA rule was lowered to 11.49. He said that as long as the insurance carrier keeps the 11.99 limit then they were going to have to stick to it. Unlike a lot of tracks they stick pretty close to the safety rules (no passengers, helmets for 13.99 and faster, etc.), but it's probably better safe than sorry. There are a few other tracks in the area, albiet farther away, that we are going to look into next spring. Of course, if a rollbar gets installed......

Thumbs up

Though I wanted to be there, I had to hang around the house for family matters.

But . . .

A buddy of mine went with his friend running a Ferd (I think). When I asked how it was he said: "Blah, blah, blah, . . . there was a bunch of Dodges there, A red one did real good. I mean he was fast! . . . . blah, blah, blah. . . . ".

KEWL!

By the way, the truck is a quad cab long bed, and it was weighed on a scale at 6850 with a driver once upon a time. The only thing removed for the run was the spare tire, but it still had the tailgate, heavy bed mat, over half tank of fuel, full interior, and has all accessories (A/C, radio, P/S, etc.).
