Great run.
Congratulations, couldn't happen to a more deserving fella.
Any luck on down loading the video? I am going to have to buy some current video equipment
Maybe in a few months they will forget and when we have our spring event you can run the 1/4 one more time.
See Ya
Chris

John it was great seeing you get into the 11s. I feel with a sticky track you might have to worry about getting a cage on a DHRA track, 11.49 is within easy reach. I think I was the only one who did not go to a personal best there. Lord knows we could not have asked for better weather, but traction was hard to get. Looking forward to next year. Tim

Thanks alot for your nice comments buddy! I appreciate it very much and it means alot coming from you since you are really the one all the rest of us "auto tranny Cummins Dodges" have been "chasing" for awhile now!
You set the bar pretty high with "old Blue" and now it looks like your 06' should be even faster! You are right, the weather was GREAT for a change!!
The "N.C./VA DTR Crews" definitely lucked out there for once!!
As I told Johnner, I am going to have to think about installing that "roll bar/roll cage!" I just don't know if I want to do it or not Tim. We'll see.........
Anyway, thanks alot for coming down to this event. You, your Dad, Dennis and all the guys! I know that Chris and Leigh appreciated it very much!
You and your family have a great holiday Tim!! See you in 2007!

I would put a cage in it just to be safe especially if you plan on running the 1/4 allot. Not just to run faster but for the safety factor,we are not dealing with a light vehicle by any means.I would hate to see what would happen if one of these would lose it going 100+ in the 1/4.
We added a chrome molly cage to our truck and feel much safer now when we are running the 1/4 .

Yeah, everything you say is true and my son has told me the same thing too.
I appreciate it, but I just don't know if I want to "hack-up" the inside of my "pristine 96' Dodge Interior" if you know what I mean!
Like I said, it is something I will need to think about some more.

Mike didn't take that video, he just posted it up for me.
It was taken by one of our "N.C.DTR Members" though, namely, Chet who goes by: 35" 05'. He started another thread of all the videos he took this past Sunday titled "Jacksonville Videos" in the Competition Section which I think you already saw.

Good to hear from you buddy!
Yeah, I still have the original Dana 70 in the rear with over 250,000 original miles on it and I can honestly tell you that it is flat WORE OUT!! I am in the process of ordering a new ring and pinion, shims etc. to go in there and replace those worn parts. After that, I also need to get some traction bars too.

That's a good question! It was videotaped by a friend of Wayne Murphy at "Waynes Dyno and Performance" the day we ran it there in Jacksonville.
They said they were going to post it on Waynes own website (www.waynesdyno.net) but as of yet I haven't seen it. I need to give him a call.
