96' Red Ram hits the 11's!
Well, I promised many of you that as soon as it happened I would give you a report and let you know.
Today at our "N.C./VA GTG" at "Coastal Plains Dragway" in Jacksonville, N.C.,
I ran a personal best time in my 1996 Dodge Red Ram of 11.76 @ 115.96 MPH! As many of you know, my previous best E.T. was 12.1 @ 110 MPH and best MPH was 12.3 @ 113 MPH. What was the difference today??
Well, first of all, I "launched" harder today than I did back on 10-14-06 on those previous runs. The launch today was at or slightly above 20lbs. of boost versus about 10-14lbs back in October when I made the runs above.
Second, the weather was PERFECT! At the time I ran, the temperature was about 60 degrees, humidity a low 20%, barometric pressure 30.18. It seems that my truck was not the only one that "liked" this weather, as DTR Members "Mike D.", "bbuchanan", and Leigh Dubie (Mrs Smurf) also had their personal BEST runs today. Mike D. ran a 13.0, Brian a 12.7 and Leigh a 13.5!! My congratulations to them!
Listed below is the numbers off my time slip:
Reaction Time: .620 (.500 is considered a perfect light at CPD.)
60 ft. : 1.75
330 ft. : 4.91
1/8 E.T. : 7.54
1/8 MPH : 93.17
1/4 E.T. : 11.76
1/4 MPH :115.96
Papa Smurf (Chris Dubie) did videotape this run and hopefully will be able to get it posted here for all of you to see like Keegan (UnrulyNFS) did for us last time!

Chris:
Yup,......I was told I was not to run the 1/4 mile again until I install an approved NHRA rollbar/roll cage! I can still run the 1/8 mile, but it just isn't the same!

Hehe. I think you know that answer. But I can't wait for the rock. They'll let you run there until you hit 11.49 I hope? I'm trying to get the date from them so I can set up a dyno day the month prior to MATR '07.

No need to worry, we might have a SRTD6 ready for him with some 15" wide tires on the back and 800HP under the hood. It might look like his but its going to sound and run alot better
That will be the first truck made by SPPP Diesel Performance
