Addictive is an understatement. After my first experience there, I have done nothing but try to budget out upgrade after upgrade. I NEED to go faster!

Hello

The In laws left for Mich today and I have the runs on a CD now I just need to figure out how to make it into a file the computer can send out. I'll ask a few computer geeks that I work with on how to make this happen.

From the replays it looks like he grabs 3 rd gear just after the truck starts moving, you really have to watch close to see the shifts.

See Ya
Chris

bringing up this old thread...

banshee, your 12 second runs i assume were done on the spray with your ~677hp dyno numbers...what does it run off the spray at ~592hp?

im gonna be getting into the 525 hp range with the new stuff, and im hoping to break the high 13's in my 6spd. just need to come up with cash for some ladder bars to plant the rear

I would think 14's are for sure. Some nice cool air and a good launch with clean shifts, high 13's are doable.

with the lag king hx55 i had, i went 15.3 @ 97mph with a 2.3 60'

with the DD clutch im hoping for a more aggressive launch and with 75 more hp and lots more tq i know low 14's will be had...the 13 is what im after tho

i have already raced multiple low 13 second mustangs and lightnings from a roll and i can hang with and sometimes beat them. so the power is there on the top end...its just getting out of the hole that i need to master

13.4-13.6 with a good launch and a bog free shift to 3rd. I ran a 13.3 in rockingham without it until I realized I had it off after shifting into 5th... then I flipped it on. It helps most through 2nd, 3rd and 4th by making the lag nil. I also ran a 14.2 without it last time at the home track, but missed 3rd, which normally costs me 1/2 second.

Thanks to "Dyno Dave" Dunbar for shooting a video at rockingham:

UnrulyNFS also has a video or two that he can hopefully share once he gets his computer stuff straight.

I'm I the only one with a DD that launch's in 3rd. I hear so many starting in 2nd. The way I do it is launch in 3rd skip 4th and go to 5th then 6th

I have a dual disk, but I launch in 2nd. I also have 3.54's-if mine still had the 4.10's it came with, I might be launching in 3rd.

ive launched my DD on the street in 3rd...i had to bring the RPMS up so high and slip it that when the clutch grabs it just smokes the tires. if i can keep it from smoking the tires it is a rocket...but definitely not pulling a 60' time less than 2.0

what do you run by going 3, 5, 6th???

I know Jeff Prince ran in the 11s, not sure if anyone has ran quicker than him or not.
