03 Common Rail 893 HP

Reb B on the TDR dynoed yesterday on a DynoJet @ 858 HP uncorrected with his 03 250/505 truck.

IN Vegas today he got 893 HP on another DynoJet with a tad of correction factor for altitude. 4%.

Mods are:

Large Single Turbo
TST
BDDL
F1 Flux 2 injectors
Floor IT stage 2 pump
water/meth
Nitrous

Diesel only was right @ 700HP, water/meth was right @ 800 and everything was 893!

Reb did this on that cheesy stock camshaft. I sent him a big daddy but he has not installed it yet.

Pushing for 1000 over the next few months.

life is good,

Don~

Oh Man, I would love to spill it. Richard has not told anyone that I know of so I will ask him if he cares if anyone knows. He was secretive about it this last fall. Not sure why.

It is a commerically available turbo from a major vendor.

Not II, not Ken @ TAD and not HTT.

If he says it is ok, I will tell for sure.

It is large. Larger than most.

The 12 Valve is still king, but plenty of work over the next few months will get the CR engine closer.

RPM is being finalized. Volume of fuel as well.

I can see a CR engine being competitive with just about anything soon.

thats a really nice gain with the water/meth is it normal to see higher gains from water/meth by trucks that already make big hp over ones that make moderate hp??

Wow, Im guessing that beast will get your helix 3, DonM?? and isnt floor-it coming out with a stage 3 pump I dont know about you guys but I see 4 digit HP in this CR's future!! That ought to rock those D-max guys that think the CR's cant compete(nothing towards D-maxes that was a friendly comment) So is this truck a drag truck or a sled truck?

I dont know what it is. When it had 630 HP it ran a 12.49, so if he wanted to turn the wick up I think it would be a good race truck. He might run it @ the track during May Madness! That would be cool.

He has a H2 cam, not the H3. He pulls a cattle trailer with it regularly and the big single. I told him to go H2 for that reason. I wish he would get that cam installed, but he was talking about selling it in the near future.

Who knows Man! Who knows.

Don~
