Luke, get into the electronic side, set the Idle speed up to at least 725 - 750.
I do believe you can still button the pumps on the early models, for higher rail pressure.
If it has jakes, the set used to be 15 thou, set them out to 17.
You won't get a whole lot of extra performance out of the M11, but it is a workhorse for sure.
I'll look back through my notes, if I can find them, and see what else I can come up with for you. Worked on lots of these engines in govey applications.

hey thanks. I picked up this '96 COE for cheap. make a little exhibition rig or something like that. its a good runner with a 9 speed in it now, see if I can jam up the juice on it for the time being, then I'll give it a repower with a 14L series60 and a big allison when I can find the right stuff. but thats a down the road deal.
