02 FL80 question
02 FL80 question
Maybe this belongs over in the 24v section but thought I might start here first. Am in the process of replacing the vp44 on an ISB that is mounted in a 02 FL80 and noticed something wierd. When I took the old pump off instead of a overflow valve on the return line there was just a normal banjo bolt and of course the new pump comes with a overflow valve so my question is this.....do I use the overflow valve or the reg. banjo bolt? I can't decide quite which way to go this time. Thanks for any thoughts ya'll might have.
so your saying there was a regular banjo bolt in the inlet and outlet?
If so, I bet thats why you're changing the VP right now
it has to have an overflow valve in the VP outlet. no matter what application the engine is in.

Monty hit the nail on the head, on this set up the overflow valve is located at the junction block where the return lines come together at the back of the head....I just didn't see it.
