Sorry to hear that Rob.
I sure hope you can keep your current projects going with the rest of us. These money pits we have just never seem to end....

It seems like all the small mechanic shops are shutting doors. It is either customers not paying or the Goverment wanting more.
I hope you can keep your shop open.

Rob,

Stop playing nice.. any no pay over 90 should go to collections..

I don't know your laws up north but down here a mechanic lean exceeds the power of the bank note..

A private vehicle is paid for in full by cash or credit card ! most corporate clients have plastic too...

There is companies out there that you can sell your receivables too..

I hopped on here to see if you had an alignment machine and catch this news. Sorry to hear and I hope it works out. But if you do alignments, I'll come see you for my mustang.

Or just call my cousin Vinny............
Lots of small businesses close shop these days, it's the same in construction/renos - a good tradesman isn't always a good businessman too. Have you considered taking on a partner that's more experienced at wheeling and dealing?

Thanks and good luck.

My buddy closed his shop last year or so (Horizon). His landlord wouldn't cut him some slack when everything was in the crapper so he packed it in. The spot is still vacant, dump s**t. A bit less rent would have been better than no rent.

Well, this is where business school comes in handy. Not necessarily, sometimes a loss is a gain. Having a place vacant might put the landlord in a different tax bracket where the tax gain is grater than the lost income. We've renovated tons of places that sat vacant for years

Why not look where it got them? Never saw a starving politician, have you? Do you really think and expect that anyone other than yourself and maybe your friends and family really gives a **** about you as a human being. I tell people all the time the sun will still arise at East tomorrow morning for me and my loved ones with or without them .....
Why expect anything from someone other than yourself? Use a stranger's hand to pet a snake, put out a fire, but never for your own gain.........Give them their taxes and see about your life, why do you care what your politicians do? They're a bunch of scum everywhere in the world but they don't bother me personally.. If I won't pay these crooks I'd have to pay the church, the cops or the mob............
A politician will have you shed your blood for their country.
