Thanks for the clarification Jamie. I think 90HP tips are a great compromise/sweet spot for a high powered/towing common rail.

The differences between the new/old CR injectors are confusing.
The DDP CR injector install document has pictures explaining the differences & that the old injector bodies will accept both old & new style injector tips.

There are many guys who have both styles in their engine which would make for an unpleasant surprise when you pulled them to install different nozzles.

Our chapter has over 25k posts in it. The next closest is the Maryland chapter with 11k, and the next closest is one of the Texas ones with 7k. Looks like we're the most social around here.

Thanks a ton for posting that link. I am one of those guys!

I had a few injectors replaced when the truck was under warranty. Dealer never mentioned anything about old style or new style at the time. After warranty I needed to get them checked out when chasing other problems and found out I have 3 old style, 1 hybrid and 2 new style. I never understood what they meant by hybrid until now....old injector new nozzle.

Down the road it would be nice to throw bigger nozzles in but I always expected that I would have to replace at least 4 (3 old and 1 hybrid) to get 6 new style nozzles (and if you are there - a full set of six makes sense). After reading that info, it looks like I could be OK with replacing the nozzles only (assuming the injectors are still good and matched reasonably - they were tested last year and were good) as long as I get the new style nozzles.

That bit of info could just have saved me some big mootch.
Thanks. Owe ya another beer!

The new style tips i have siting in the garage will fit on any injector. The old style nozzles will ONLY fit the old style injector. That's it in a nut shell. Bosche is only making the new style injectors now (if you can even find any) and all the DDP stuff is new style these days. So in saying all that, buy new style stuff as the old style will be non-existent eventually...

I hope that made sense.

Here are a few new pictures fresh from the Airdrie Sunk Werks fab shop.

The twins are just tacked and we need the trucks to make sure the fits are good to burn wire.

Build two sets yesterday, just have to get a few more supplies for Jamies truck. Should work pretty good, even had Tate throw on a 24VP gearbox onto a 03 CR engine on Friday for kicks and giggles.

We are going to build a 6.7L with a 12V gearbox so you can run a pee pumper.

Stainless banjo lines, you'll hardly see them and they will be shiny. Everything is tacked, so if required you can adjust things to fit properely. We have one truck next weekend getting a set of twins installed. 06 dually, going with the stocker over a S475, of course there are a few turbo tweaks. That truck is running the SSR smarty, so it will be interested what we get for power find.

Ya the manifold isn't a standard steed piece. Its been adjusted to our specs. First non-divided T3 flange manifold that has an external gate.

The wastegate has also been adjusted to increased flow. Its a nice piece. I have a few being built for a few SDX 2.6 trucks.
