Shoot very bad timing we just took our 2006 4x4 quad 6 speed back 65 k on it, all stock too ( Wetaskiwin ) would have given what the buy out was.
Oh just a bit of fyi you still can do a 3 click of the 2006 to get the codes if you have no way of getting them to show you codes. on older truck mind you they have a tendency to clear them , so take for a test drive and them cycle the key 3 times
