Well, I guess I have to give ol' Harry a call tomorrow and see what the verdict is.

How long does it take to install? I don't have a tranny jack, so I may have to take it in to he cousin's shop and just pay a cut rate on the labor depending on time on hand.

Dual disc is on the way from Harry.

Thanks to all for opinions to build a decision base!

Kerry, I have a jack that you can borrow. Its made the rounds through the province already, once more is no biggie. Should be a day job to do it. The hardest part will be aligning the discs with that Edit plastic alignment tool. I'd really love to get a wrecked 1-3/8" input shaft for lining up the discs.

Sure.. Why not start now??? I just have always liked Peter and his company over the years and he treated me very well with warranty issues years after the fact.. (soap box now stowed)

Tates jack is more than ample for the job. I used it for my R&R a few months ago and it was awesome. I used the plastic alignment tool but didn't have too much difficulty aligning the tranny into the engine. Took a few tries to get the angles just right, then it just slipped in. Thats where the Tranny jack is a must to be able to adjust the angle and heights.

Good choice going with SBC and Harry at Peak. Which clutch did you go with?

Funny post. I killed my CON FE a couple weeks ago and will be ordering a double disk from Peak as well as soon as budget permits.

I am very interested to see how you like it. I was on the fence for a looooong time about whether I wanted to get a dual disc or a single.

Well I just got off the phone with DHL - the only thing they can tell me is that it is in Edmonton, but no details on delivery time, whether both boxes will actually be delivered together, in the morning......nothing.

I have a spot booked in my cousins shop tomorrow...........all dependent on actual delivery.

I'll let you know.

As I type, just gotta get the upgraded hydraulics in and test drive. Changin the tranny and transfer case fluids to Amsoil at the same time. Crap the new clutch is huge in comparison.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK. It's in and got me home. We set the adjustment the same length as the OEM. It appears to grab at about 3/4 (higher than previous) - OK? Also, in fifth gear, between 1150 and 1450 RPM, there is only what I can describe as a fine chatter / whoosh noise if one slowly rolls into the go pedal - sound normal? Doesn't do it if you get on it.

Other than that, appears to be OK.

I guess Tate, you might be best to chime in if the new clutch is reacting as it should.

I am liking it. I've driven OTR and the feel was admittedly weird at first. However, after a few trips things have either gotten better (worn in) or I've gotten used to it. I do want to hook onto the car hauler and take the ILTIS out to the farm and have pulling some weight seat things a bit better.
