I think that the MYTH of the cr injectors going bad is so overblow it isnt even funny. The CR injector is a very good injector, of the same style and quality as the duramax and the newer fords. Really in my experience it is only guys that buy or get questionable fuel that have problems. I would say that of say 400000 truck sold (rough guess just for arguments sake) that 398000 or more dont have problems ever with their injectors. I also hear guys say that a pressure box will hurt them, I say BS. Again, only if they have questionable fuel. CR's work good, will work good for a long time. There is no reason to be scared of them, and once you drive one you will wonder why it took so long to get one.

So whats the deal on CR cracked nozzles? Heard if you crank up the rail pressure you can crack the nozzle tip. I'm such a CR newba...

Hate to ask but what's the red hot melt down stack set-up so I don't try that combo out...

The only way you will crack a tip is not from pressure, but debris. I have been running a Dr P pressure box on my dodge for 6 years now. Way before I got crazy with the mods. But because I am careful with how clean my fuel is, make sure I have good filters I have never had a injector problem. MP8's have been said to have some detriment, just because they hit the pressure way to fast, where the dr p is a much nicer slope.
