I wanted a diesel last year, just my wallet wasn't big enough. The emission stuff bugs me still, but it seems most of the issues are getting fixed. I was told that a DPF filter was worth $150 bucks by Varsity. I'm gonna see about getting them to warranty the truck without the emission junk. The new diesels are one nice truck, kinda civilized vs my old 02, but I'm starting to slow down some what.

Thanks guys...
The price was the big incentive.. I missed out on the 0% by a few months. They were running about 10-12K less than a comparable 09 model. And haggling on units sitting there is a bit of a lever, demo etc...
Its auto, finding a stick is next to impossible, especially in the MC. From the search it was 1 of 8 '08 MC's remaining in the province, the only Inferno Red.. But after driving it around in T/H and the Ex brake, it won't be that hard to drive. I am planning on it to be the stocker to tow the RV. I may go the delete route after a few months for both the EGR and DPF, not sure. The new Smarty is coming out soon though.. Hmm.
I wasn't planning on getting one yet, but after the Southside show in Red Deer it got me thinking more seriously about it.

Congrates, our first choice was that color too,but settled with black for the 2007 MEGA.The deals are out there----even if you have to buy a slightly used one or last years models these guys want to move them off there lots.Cars/trucks/boats/RV's as sitting there just cost them more losses so deal away. Some deals are way to good to pass up and if you are thinking about something down the road you may/can save a ton of cash now if you can buy early rather than wait.-----as states in another thread me and the Mrs just could not pass up the deal on a 2008 18ft Maxim boat at the boat show---loaded + water toys out the door for under 22k,same boat is 26k US in a 09 model, then add the exchange.I can live with a never wet, brand new "year old" boat. LET THE BOMBING BEGIN.DW

Nice truck buddy, I'm jealous.
I'm thinking about tradein off my 08 1500 ton for a new 08 3500 ctd. They will take my truck without too much loss from what I bought last year. I've been bottoming out on these lovely lease roads up here. Dodge has some smoken deals on trucks right now. I bottomed out coming into GP earlier this week pretty hard. Almost broke a rear springs.

Your truck should be a little lighter on the way home so maybe bottoming out will not be that big of an issue.

Yes there are some great prices out there. Was at St.Albert Dodge last week and they had a new 08 3500, MegaCab Laramie, fully loaded for 59000.00. So about 10000.00 cheaper than the same 09.

The northern roads up here are fun stuff. Wish I had my old truck, I could have been doing some jumps. I wonder if thats covered under warranty. Is it a full load truck? You need to pimp her out buddy.Take some of that new off her.

I can see the 09 and 10, costing will be back to original list and there will no inventory. Thankfully no ones buying trucks any more, so there lots of good trucks available cheap. You gonna use the new truck for work? I had lots of rocks and mud bouncing off my 1500 windshield today. Hiway 43 both ways to GP is tons of fun. Next time I want to see air under the tires.
