yea I've got the destroked mounts and 12v standing by, not right away though. I want to enjoy an uninterupted period of time now with a nice functioning truck. but the instant that engine gives my a hint of trouble shes gone. I've already got the engine sold to a bud at work

not real worried about it yet though. pulled the warranty history, it got a whole new engine in 2008 at woodridge ford here in town. theres 140k on the odo now and only 50k on the new engine. hope it gives me time to finish hammering the goodies to the 12v before it goes into service to destroke it.

thanks. Its really is what I've always wanted as well.

I hear the 5r110 auto in these are pretty stout to start with. so I might not use the 47rh at all. just get the adapter/ which I don't have yet.

I have been wanting to do this too. Love the ford trucks and those autos are much better in stock form than the dodge offerings. Congrats!

Yeah.

I too love the Ford bodies and styling. The cab is roomy and easier to get in/out of then my '07 CTD. The other plus is the new coil sprung suspension. It knocked 5.5' off the turning radius in every configuration. There's an older F-250 around here with a 12v in it. NICE!

I agree, the 5R110 is the best pick up tranny on the market. Ford did it right with that at least. I wish i had one in my 06 then the truck would be perfect.

Nice looking truck Luke, best of luck with it.

thanks. i really like it. I like the lariat 350 better than the 3rd gen dodge laramie 3500.

I need to have a full proper 4 door truck. that frame I have is an extended cab frame is 18" too short for a crewcab body to properly fit.

Cats out

I recently traded my 04 SD in on an 06 CTD. The only problem with the 5R100 is that it has a tendency to hunt for gear in Tow/Haul. Stout trans though.

Congrats
