They did a 12v head for us that has custom over sized valves, cut off intake, and ported as far as you can take a stock head.

Dave does all the machining and is a perfectionist, as anyone that has seen his work can attest to.

5x.016's really aren't that big in 1st gen world, 6x.016's are quite a common injector for performance. I will see how long to get the injectors and give you a call.

Tate's 12v was hitting 80psi with a decent sized hole in the intercooler, just cause the boost is still there, doesn't mean there isn't a leak.

As far as mechanical timing, it could have had an injection pump replaced under recall, back when it was new (There were a few that did) and could have had the timing out a tooth for years, with all the tamper proof pieces still in place. Something worth checking, just a few hrs and a few beers to do.

well you guys might have nailed it.. you too lil dog.

i had my pump turned up quite a bit.

1300egt no prblem empty and tons of smoke.
this truck has a mopar factory replacement pump on it. un tampered but stamped mopar.
it starts great and when i bumped the timing it got "louder" and seamed to act as "common" as they do as to what i have read.
if it was a tooth out wouldnt it run like ****?

the only reason really considering porting is cause of the head gasket failure.

i bought a .10 over gasket, was going to o-ring it and put studs in and call it a day but for $200 get 3 angle valve grind $500 more porting and another $300 to mill the intake and then.......$$$ where do you draw the line.

ill put these injectors in, pay the large bill to re paint my truck
then next month ill do the gasket/studs and contimplate how much more money iam going to through into this thing before i say Edit it and buy a new one

Nope doesn't run like ****, just slow and low on power. Jason Sands (JQmile from diesel power) on his rust bucket, was forever fighting making horsepower with that truck without nitrous, finally after a year of some people (me) bugging him to check the timing, it ended up it had been retarded a tooth all this time.

I should have the new sticks in hand tomorrow. We got lucky SDX had stock on the injectors. Keep me posted on what you think of them. Hopefully this will help to improve your fuel mileage

Have a really good tranny guy, seems to be holding a rather notorious truck that runs 140mph 1/4's

RE is electronic and the RH is manual. I would just run the manual, its easier. Not sure how good the PCS controller stuff works on the RE48. Heard hoar stories about that controller on 5R110 (ford five speed).

Manual you just have a kick down cable going from the injection pump to transmission. Nice thing is you don't need a computer to adjust how the transmission shifts or when it shifts.

that tranny came in the 94-97 trucks?? the rh from what i read is the same strength as the 727/518a is buying a new converter and building it worth the 10-20 hp ill gain with the lock up?.
i can get a performance rebuild kit for mine with billet shafts for like $1100.
the triple disk converter for the lock up is expensive

i have a nv4500 but just not sold on rowing gears and that huge spread between 3rd/4th. not to mention it has 350 000km on it and id need a clutch and pedal assembly.

47RH is in the 94-95 trucks. The 2wd ones are pretty coveted, it seems. 96-03 is 47RE.

Glad you like them. Got you a pretty decent deal on the injectors. SDX makes pretty good sticks. A S475 would make for a great addition for twins on your ride, once you get the paint done up

Glad this all worked out.

Sac's always seem to be a little hazy, just the nature of the beast. With twins and a little tuning, I am sure you will find your 400hp.

I'd certainly hope so. I'm averaging 17 mpg doing 120+ everywhere. Not sure where my power is exactly, but I'm sure its over 500hp now. If its not, I've failed.
