Red Deer Dyno dates
Alright.. Here are some questions answered.
Oct 17 date is for another local vendor, Armor Inc, to have their dyno open house. It is confirmed for date but the dyno has to happen at another shop (seemingly not so popular with our clan). They were having some special guests up from the US for their event from DDP. I was checking this one out as I was not sure about the CCV event being a go.
Now in a panic, I went directly down to CCV to discuss and they already have a plan for a "Summer Sell-Off" event for the 26th of September (just happens to be our date of favor) with a Performance Dyno competition. I was just saying that our chapter was interested in an event and they said to come to the party and they will take care of our Chapter in a block of we can have a confirmed sign up sheet to them by Wednesday next week.
The dyno event will have Diesel, and multiple levels of gas performance as well for the tuners/hot rodders. Take it or leave it, it could be fun to see. There was a 6.1L Hemi Challenger in their bay today with a Vortec Supercharger on it. That might be interesting to see run.... But I digress...
With that in mind I said lets roll with the 26th and see what comes of it.
I am starting another thread for the dyno event for sign up with address and directions etc. for those attending.
J-eh.

I'm also good for Sept 26th.
I've never heard of CCV in Red Deer.
A quick google search shows that CCV stands for Canada Custom Vehicles.
Their website shows that they have a Dyno Dynamics Dyno, similar to the Vex dyno last year in Red Deer.

As for the dyno for ARMOR IN looking like Oct 17th....
Realizing that in the dyno world we will never satisfy everyone there was a handful that didn't like their numbers on the VEX dyno last year...which now belongs to CCV...and I am sure there will be a handful that don't like their numbers at either show this year....
Biggest thing here is come out support the events...chose to dyno chose not to...is totally up to you...

I am still calling about a portable unit, not much luck either. The 2 units I knew of in Calgary are gone as well or don't do diesel..

I intend on being at both GTG's.
I wouldn't mind another dyno pull in Nov/Dec or Jan/Feb timeframe. I'm trying out a few different set-ups. I'm finially getting sometime to do building/testing. The AFI would give me be a good baseline from last year.
