raptor 100

Hello everyone; I,m thinking about replacing my stock lift pump with a raptor 100. Is anyone on here using one of these? I'm wondering how reliable they are and what kind of longevity can be expected from one of these pumps. Can it be used with the stock fuel heater and filter set up? Are they available in Canada?

A buddy here in town have one. It seems to work ok. Its noisier than my fass 150. He runs the big lines right to the stock fuel filter, so everything else is stock.

Im from AB, I have a Raptor 100 on my 03. To be honest with you, I cant hear the thing run, its mounted to the frame rail. Comes with a mounting plate that sandwichs the frame rail, no rubber mounted anything. Its coming up 2years on my truck. No issues yet, holds 15psi most of the time, other than abit of driving truck hard, falls down to 13psi. It is adjustable, so you can turn up the pressure if needed. Im dont have a monster engine, like someone here. Was told its good for 550hp, then read somebody says good for more. I dont know, but it works great for me. There was lots of reason why I picked the Raptor 100, @ the time fass only made pump with filters, the walbro pump didnt excite me alot. Also I just wanted a pump only, couldnt care less about the air removal bs fuel pumps. The airdogs are not easiest to get fuel filters for, I dont want to stock more than I need to. The 100 also hooks right up to stock fuel cannister, dont have to use draw straw or the bs that goes all with them. I know there is alot people that have no issues with the draw straw, I have no interest in drilling my tank. Now there is a mod cannister out there, but not when I was doing the pump upgrade. I dont like the idea of changing fuel filters under the truck. Some of the reason why I picked just a pump. I did ad a 2mic fuel thou, my system goes as follows, tank, raptor, stock fuel filter housing, to a 2mic fuel filter up front to the CP3. I can get my fuel filters anywhere. During the nadp blackout, buddies airdog 150 lost fuel pressure. Filters plugged, not airdogs fault, but couldnt get filters anywhere in Alberta. Yes forsure he should have spares, but thats not the point. Nobody had any, all could order. Think fass might use filters that are common.

Me personally, I like the airdog or fass pumps as you have that extra filter to protect things. That said, the dodge stuff is garbage and the airdog is way better than stock. My buddy airdog, was louder than my fass. I replace my both of my fass filters at around 30-50k and I carry spare for those times you get a bad tank of fuel. I think that the remote filters are easier to replace than the stock filter, but thats my thoughts. My truck can burn almost anything, so I don't need the 2 micron rating filter as the 3rd gen guys do and I use 10 microns filter on my fass. I still run a stock dodge filter, just run the fass 150 into my stock filter. I've run both ways, with the stock filter and not using it. Either way have been no issues. I can filters for my pump at any napa store. The water separator is different design and those are special just to fass. You could go 50k on them. I had more issues with my in-tank fuel pick-up plugging up.

Andy, its good to hear from ya buddy, its been awhile.

Ya Mike, it has been quite a while. I had to miss the last 2 dyno events. Maybe I'll catch a GTG one of these days.

We had a few real good turnouts for the last few GTG's. I'm still working on putting down more power thingy without breaking stuff. Last year, I think that I broke everything in my truck, this year, nothing. Hopefully 2010 is good to the old girl.

Theres a local guy here in Airdrie running the raptor 100 in his truck. It seems to be a good pump, way better than the dodge stuff
