I heard it was up and around fox vegas "creek", he had got squished between some pipe. Thats all that i heard on the news anyway. They also didnt specify if it was a driller or not.

It happened just outside of Rimby, Not a whole lot of information so far. From what the news has said they were RIH (running in hole) the pipe got caught up, the drill line slacked off then something hit the person. No body seen exactly what happend accordian to the news.

Thats like a totally different story then what i got off our local news. They said they were unloading pipe and the picker snagged something, then the slack come out of the line and the load of pipe smacked him. They only briefly touched on the subject. All in all another hand passed. RIP.

Yeah, are there possibly 2 events here? - because the one I heard on the news stated that he was actually struck by lumber, and was now in an induced coma with severe head injuries. The item was completely sanitized of the name of the company he worked for.

pistazie is right. 2 different incidents there. from my understanding, PD hand got hit with something while on the floor(someone mentioned that already) and then a rig hand was crushed on rig move. in between 2 shacks. that second incident was second hand info to me.
