haha, if you talk to Mel tell him i'm a comin' and to treat me right! i'm sure he will anyway - he did last time i was there . . .

also on the laminated plate (to re-assure myself more) the guys at source automotive run it on trucks in the 800hp range with zero issues to date. they haven't seen one fail yet, despite what truck it is on . . . wel it's already ordered and shipped so i'll just stick with it.
Will do bud. Got to go see Mel this week before I leave for Cuba.

so now that the big hard parts are worked out . . . anything else to have the shop do? (ie. such as the GM solenoid upgrade as Jamie did . . .)

all three shafts and the flexplate arrived today.
WOW - those shafts are some nice looking pieces. so is the flexplate.
haha, source automotive sent a little extra in the box too - a PayDay chocolate bar! i don't know if it was by accident or not, but pretty funny nonetheless!

so i stuck with the laminated plate but decided to go with all three billet shafts. the laminated plate is a stocker with a laser cut insert tig welded to it on both sides. it is then re-balanced and checked to make sure it stayed true . . . then it looks like it is also powdercoated black.

now i guess i just have to make my appt in red deer to have it built!

So any updates Jason? You want any more upgrades? I must have twenty to thirty turbos sitting in my garage right now. Ranging from a GT3582R all the way to a T-88. I even got Tater talked into putting on his twins We are going to start another cool twin build, shortly.

I may be burnin through red deer with my new tranny too, but mine will be in the back of the truck. If you see a blue 3rd gen long box on the side of the highway between red deer and calgary feel free to stop and give me a lift.

I had mine rebuilt by the Excell shop here in Calgary, i don't think they are related. I've had a them do a bunch of stuff for me over the years.I didn't go to wild with it, billet triple converter, better bands and more valve body work and whatever else they threw in. That was about 225,000 km's ago and no issuses at all.

haha, we're in a ball tourney this weekend. i'm sure we'll have some time between games though, so if you make it out we can see what it's all about!

when the time comes for twins, mike is the local go to guy . . . it's just a matter of time. how much time is the question!!!

To bad all this stuff cost so much money. I'm trying to build-up an big power 12v engine for my truck right now. I have most of the parts to finish off the chassis, I just have to go to border and pick them up. Go for a ride in Tate's dually, man is that truck a fun driver. Twins sure helped to clean the smoke and the driviblity.

well i'm pretty happy so far. sometimes it doesn't feel quite right though - i would like to have some guys go for a ride with me . . . guys who know what a built tranny feels like. i haven't been in many trucks with a built auto and am not 100% sure exactly what it should feel like or what to llok for.

i would like some feedback down here before making a (possibly pointless) trip to red deer just for a test drive . . .

any takers? if it's not too far out of the way - i'll come to you!
