Lambs Amber?

So I will be traveling to the Arctic in a couple of days and my host is a Newfoundlander who likes amber rum. Go figure. Is Lambs Amber the right choice? Please advise! I hate agonizing over decisions

Wiser or glen something single malt my choice for the quantity limited. 25 to 30 year port but it would get seized for sure.

I like scotch, but scotch doesn't like me. I like to sip on a good single 15-20 year malt. Warms me up and numbs up the old bones. Sure needed one tall glass yesterday.

Never tried Oban, whats it like. Oaky, peety, or smokey I have a friend that collects rare odd single malts. I think that we tried every bottle at christmas time. I just collect what ever is cheap at the duty free shops.

Dan, hopefully your rum adventure goes good. Probably not alot else to do at night beside playing cards and a few stiff drinks. Helps you to go to sleep.

well actually I dont know the first thing about cards, I have never had enough leisure time in my life to learn. I decided on the Lambs. Oban is peaty and I find a tiny bit briny, just love the stuff. Off to Iqauit tomorrow, see you guys on the other side in three weeks! OK I exaggerate, they actually do have internet there even if no liquor store.

Hey Mike, I would post some pics but I got internet thats slower than 15W40 in -40C, which is what the temp was the other day (absolute -30C), BTW, holy moly its still cold up here. Shoulda brought more rum. Went on the "snow machine" for a quick ride but gave up due to extreme cold and whiteout conditions! Tonight for fun went to a public consultation on the new proposed landfill siting/design an alls I can say is I'm glad that we lost that job to those guys, and that I was not the poor hapless consultant standing up there, lol.

Take some pics and post them later. Ya rum would help warm you up. We are suppose to get another big dump of snow tonight. Sure get used to the warm weather pretty quick. -40 deg's that is darn cold. Hopefully you brought from warm cloths.
