No I didn't, I don't even own clothes suitable for that cold, but luckily a friend here has loaned me his hunting jacket, there is not too much blood on it, . I would love to get a sealskin jacket, they are so warm, but very expensive and I need more truck parts!

Ya I imagine that even with the right winter cloths, -40deg's in a blizzard, nothing will keep you going, except maybe more rum

Well don't freeze up, we need ya to put down some big numbers at one of our dyno events again.

Sealskin jacket, I didn't even know that there was such a thing, but sounds dreamy warm.

LOL, not quite, a tunic and pants in caribou skins and you will be toasty, you cant even wear that stuff until its -40C or you will be sweating! IMHO animal skins are the warmest, no high-tech material sold at Mount Equip coop even comes close. Luckily its warmed up to -25 today!
And as for the HP - well I got some good stuff in the works!! More fuel please!

Just don't let the green peacer near ya wearing the seal skin jacket and the caribou skin pants. They might get jealous of how warm you are.

So how did the landfill meeting go? You do any heckling

I can hook you up on some bigger SDX stick just to try if your feeling up for some more fuel. Make that S366 beg for the stockers again.

Don't get me started on that subject . Killing creatures to wear the latest fashions in the city is not good in my books, but killing them to eat and wear for warmth is just fine by me!

No heckling was to be heard, but the good folks who live here have seen it all before, and they go to these meetings very, very well-prepared. I just sat back, ate some chocolate chip cookies, drank my coffee and watched him squirm!

I already got 120s but there's a young man around here who convinced me that it was better to go the dual CP3 route rather than the dragonslayer type thing. Picked up a new kit pretty cheap on compd.

Sweet deal, can't wait to see how it works out. Everyone has a fast truck these days except me. Going to have to change that one day.

Ya hunting up there is a part of life. Glad things are going good. I would have done some heckling. You probably have a better diet up there than down here. I like wild animal meat, as long as its not to gamey.

yeah seal and walrus is pretty gamey, muktuk too (whale skin and the blubber). But its great once you acquire a taste for it, lol. Eating it raw was how peeps here got most of their vitamin C, cooking it destroys the vitamins. Unfortunately diet is not so great here, lots of junk here too, and these are not people who traditionally ate a lot of carbs.

Yeah, cant wait! I don't expect it to make any difference to day to day driving, just dyno day. and I think in the long run its just another PITA maintenance item. Oh well, I never claimed to be sensible, lol.

Why the increase in maintaince? If the truck is set-up right, it should make no difference if you work the truck or not. Stuff breaks regardless if its been bombed or not.

I would like to try the northern meat raw one day. Always liked raw meat better than cooked. Its to bad on the junk food.

As for weather, its not much different here in c-town. Snowing and more snowing. Just going out to move snow. At least its not -40C any more that stuff is way over rated. Thats usually when I get a phone call 'for my turbine is frozen solid and we need you to fix it. Now Holmen move'. Its nasty fixing stuff outside at that temp and a wicked wind blowing into your face. Funny all the station guys are inside eating that junk food.

Back home, its so warm here! Some pics....

Skidoo outing along a river on a verry very cold and windy day, and we stopped at a cabin for lunch and tea. Didn't use the picnic table though, lol.

Unfortunately I missed the sled drag races on the bay for Toonik Tyme. There's a couple of nice trucks in town, mostly gas though. A few cummins but they are beat up.

Anyone know how much liquor I can bring across the border? I'd like to bring some Crown Royal with on my way thru sweetgrass.

LOL, well Nunavut is still in Canada, but to answer your Q, I think for Americans entering Canada its the same as for Canadians returning to Canada more than 48 hours, the duty-free limit is 40 oz liquor, or 1.14 L. Of course you can bring more, but you may need to pay duty and taxes on it.

Alright thanks for the info. Driving from Calgary back to Montana and thought I'd pick up some Crown. Stuff is super expensive in Helena.

Oh sorry, I thought you meant the other way around, usually that liquor stuff is way more expensive in Canada than in the States! Not sure what the American duty free limits are???
