Apparently the 2012 Manual does not have a manual high idle feature. DC is working on it.
I think I will be going over to synthetic here real soon.

H&S has a special G56 tune to enable the high idle. It will also allow you to delete the truck. Even 5W40 oil isn't flowing at these temperatures, might be time to get some 0W40 oil for this cold weather.

You still running the stock tires? My 2010 stock tires are the worst ever for snow/ice. They work great on dry pavement.

 

You've got that right! I topped up my engine on Monday, it was like molasses coming out. It actually backed up and over flowed from the filler neck, never seen that happen, being that its at least a 1.5" diameter. Thats 5w40 syn. Valvoline Premium Blue.

 

The stock tires are the WORST TIRES I have ever had on any vehicle. Have not switched them up yet.
My priority now is finding some running boards and figure out this high idle. Have to send a letter off to DC and ask what their justification is on selling their trucks in northern climates with out a proper high idle.

This H&S tuner I am curious about but just for the high idle option. (untill the egr plugs up).
That will be part of my letter to DC.
See how much I can stir the pot with them.

 

I think the worst ever tires was on my 02 when I bought it. The 2010 tires are very close to being the worst ever, just wait till you drive the truck in some mud. How many recall notices have you recieved? I have a pile of seven outstanding, just found out today that the drive side seat was recalled

 

Very nice truck.. That red sure makes that bumper and grill stand out.. I thought you couldn't get a stick from dodge any more..

 

There were not many left in Canada, I don't think the 2013s will have any.

 

What gears did yours come with in the diffs? I'm sure glad i ended up with 323's It sips fuel on the highway.. and pulling my trailer with hay on it its not all that bad.. Mind ya i'm comparing it to my 04 with a auto and 410's

When my son bought his 2011 the dealer told him it was the only one left in Canada and I thought they were giving him a line until less than 2 weeks later I tried to find one and there wasn't a single manual trans truck left in Canada. They told me I could order one but because of the problems in Japan there was not many choices for color so reluctantly I went with an auto and I'm the guy that says "the only way to never have an automatic transmission problem is to buy a manual". Hope it doesn't come back to bite me.

 

When i bought my 2011 they could only find 6 of em left. Thank goodness i got everything i needed and nothing i didn't want..

 

It has 3.42 gears, I am surprised because the RPMs seem to be high for the speed.

 

I would love to add a over aux over drive..

 

Mike.. what are all your recalls for?? I have had nothing sent to me yet..

 

Here is the list I have outstanding on my truck AC/Heater, 3X EGR, tie-rod, the dealer told me that the seats bottoms has been recalled, but never seen that one yet. Most of them are just re-flashes. I have installed an in-cabin air filter for the heater. I was one of the first 4th gen guys, my custom 09 order was cancelled.
