Thanks Kevin.. I thought that too..
Mike, I took out the headlights and used the permatex lens kit which is a sanding kit really. You wet sand the lens until its nearly smooth then polish it on the very last pass. That was about an hour per lite. Other than that, the rest is stock. Now the chrome bubbles in the grill really stand out.
Driving it back I did notice a different power band with the old rig. A little more lag but once it lites, more fun! Oh and it smokes..

Looks great Jason...
Did the SS steel rocker guards come off & then get re-installed?
I would have left the SS panels off & leave all the badges off for a clean look but that's just me!
Now you might as well get some bigger wheels & tires under it...
I do enjoy spending other guys money!
Just for comparison here's the "before" pic:

Sorry you couldn't make to the Red Deer GTG...

Thanks Joe.
I'm sorta like a crow, I like shiny things. There is a secret there that when they painted... They uh, just taped off the stainless and painted around it..
Saved a few bucks there. The stainless would be destroyed if they removed it and I didn't want to spend another $900 on stainless. They don't make the big stuff anymore, just the 6" stainless. So I hope its all good in behind there..
The before picture actually needs the paint peeling in sheets off the hood and cab.

Have to see it again soon.

Yeah we will have to meet up some day for a coffee.

Nice rides guys.
....Keep us posted on the build-up.
BD450, I would stick with the 2nd gen, if the cab works for your family. Ya hard to say this but the 3rd gen cab is bigger inside for a family. The 4th gen is heavenly
but is a big daily driver. Rather drive my 2nd gen. Could just throw a 6.7L into the old girl

I installed the hood and fenders and what a pain! The old fenders were rusted out, and there is alot of stuff to unbolt to change them, spent all day doing it.
We'll see Mike its running pretty good, maybe I will join you and Jason and keep it and by a 6.7. I should of had you over when I had the fenders off, would of been the perfect time to install a set of twins..

The next thing I need to find is a passenger side sport headlight.
