So my 92 w250 just about lost a wheel the other day... My passenger side hub assembly grenaded pretty badly. Bearing hub, spindle and everything in between is done. I'm having issues finding a bearing hub of course and im strongly considering calling it quits with this truck. Thought I'd just ask for some opinions and thoughts.

It was my daily driver for work until this happened. I've been dumping money into this thing regularly and i think it might be better as a parts truck.

 

Thats a good looking 1st gen. It is always a tough decision with an older vehicle,, payments or repairs.

 

Body looks to be in great shape yet. I say fix it.

 

x2, thats a beautiful looking truck. Should be able to pickup a hub assembly for a decent price. Lots of 1st gen D60's on kijiji, buy a whole diff and rob the parts off of it.

 

Sell it and regret it.. Sorry.. I know i regret selling my 01 and my 04.. Napa should have hubs and bearings for it.

The way I look at it, Fixing it is cheaper than a truck payment.

As much as I would love to have a new truck in the driveway, dropping a third of that into my old pig will still give me better than new in my opinion.

Fix it and enjoy it, not many nice old ones out there anymore.

Well...You know my opinion .....I would not let anything old die...

 

Definatly fix it, decent first gens are getting hard to come by!

 

So thanks to a local mechanic who had some parts for me the old beast is back up and rolling.
