Tailgate cables

Hello guys and gals;

I am in need of a pair of tailgate cables for my newly acquired, used, fifth wheel v-cut tailgate. I cannot use the ones off of my OEM tailgate (which is for sale BTW) as I want to keep the unit complete. I tried a set from Princess Auto and there was no joy. I thought I could make a pair with cable wire and a few crimps etc. however I was advised against this for safety reasons.

Your help, input and wisdom in this regard would be appreciated!

Cheers!

Mike

If they are the same as the OEM cables, I think Dorman makes decent replacements, and are available at most parts stores. The last time I replaced mine, I got them from the dealer, but Dorman makes decent stuff and probably cheaper too.
