Anyone else get drawn for special tags this year----out of the blue i can finally shoot at a cow elk in WMU 526 on my dads or sister land.Lots of game in the area but no tag in previous years and most likely drop a GENERAL whitetail buck as well.I passed on several 4x4 whitetails last year hoping for the monster 5x5 that been hanging around dads 1/4 but he was a no show during the season.Good news is he smiled for the trailcam last week so no one else dropped him and was not "ROADKILL" over the winter.I am also waiting for bull moose in the same zone for 3 years as the MRS wants the head above the fireplace eventually(the pressure).DW

 

No draws for me out here. But have seen alot of nice bucks in my area. gonna get cameras out here this week. Along with some grain and mineral.

I put in for cow elk up here and also buffalo. I got a big fat nothing for my efforts! Lol guess I will have to chase after a Swamp Donkey.

 

Yeah i was a day late on entering, oh well next year i guess.

 

I almost forgot as well if it wasn't for a buddy asking what draws i put in for.I will be in Fort ST John mid Sept to pick the MRS up from the airport,----i managed to book 26 vacation days in Sept.So the first week it is out to Vancouver for an Alaskan cruise,drive back,pack up the hunting gear/quads and head just outside of Cleardale AB for the rest of the vacation and hopefully fill my tags.Mrs has to work for one week and then i will travel into FSJ to pick her up to spend some time with my folks/sister.DW
