Good price on u-joints and balancing driveshafts
I recently decided to replace my u-joints and balance the shaft. Called Pats, mine is a one piece shaft, they quoted $250.00, and told me Spicer did not make joints for the 06. Next called Standens, $285 and told me the same thing. Saw an ad on Kijiji for driveshaft balancing and called. It was Comercial Truck Equipment 11199 48 st SE Calgary, also in Edmonton, BC, and accross the east. Quoted $150 with Spicer joints. Took it to them, the head guy in the driveline dept. showed me why they had Spicer joints to fit and why the others did not. The C clip retainers were too thick on the joint that fit my shaft, so they substited thinner clips and they now fit. Picked it up and the charge was $155.00. Its always great to save $100.00.
