12v tuning help

finally got gauges installed. im looking for some help tuning her, id rather do it in one sitting then fuss with it for the rest of the summer. i was also wondering if i can get away without a 3gsk kit, id like my truck to make all of its power between 1500 and 2200, if thats possible. the kenworth doesnt seem to have any problems doin it, though it has a bit more displacement.

If all you want is the power between 1500-2200, then you may as well leave the stock GSK in it. It dives off right around 2200 anyway. And its pretty lame compared to a 3k or 4k setup. Drive a truck with the GSKs and you'll wonder why you're still on the stockers.

What exactly are you looking at having tuned? Setting the timing is the only part that you'd need special tools for. Injectors/plate is simple hand tools, and tuning the AFC is going to be a test and tune deal.
