frontend shaking after new tires balancing is good

I recently spent a lot of money got my whole frontend fix and on top of that got new tires. I went from 285 65 20's to 35's. well I'm driving down the road when I get about 50 to 70 miles an hour my frontend starts to shake not a lot just a little bit like its not balance but the balancing is good.

has anybody ever had this problem?

What tires did you buy? What's the load range?

My new 35s have a good little shimmy/shake between 55-60ish. Not horrible, but bad enough to bug me. Same hunch on my end, wheel weights shifted just a bit... Nope. I haven't tested this yet, but have been told by a few guys I go to for knowledge and was told to upgrade my steering stabilizer. I'd give that a shot... I'm currently waiting to find out more about this recalled recall. Don't wanna buy a stabilizer that I won't be able to use in a few months..

Your not saying which tires you bought as well and the range.

Try dropping the psi on my MTs I always had them at 40front 30rear. Better over all ride but if you tow keep them up higher.

Check your track bar for any play, have someone in the truck moving the wheel pretty good.

The other is ball joints.

The wobble comes from bad tires, loose track bar and ball joints and steering stab. Not sure how to test the stab maybe pull it off and compress it a number of times.

I smacked mine on a rock and drove for a number of miles with out one but still kept it under 45 but I was also in the dirt... Till I found a auto zone and put that crappy one on.

My 06 has the older steering OEM stab but run a steering brace.

I need the brace, but when pit the new rims and tires on we did go thru my front end and everything is tight. Just leaves the stabilizer on my end really. I haven't had the chance due to weather to chalk the tires and find the happy psi yet. Just waiting for them to figure out this stupid recall before I buy a stabilizer. My luck is if I buy a good stabilizer, the new steering linkage will have changed just enough that I won't be able to use it

The track bar might be tight to the bolts but can move because the bushing.

I'd still have someone hop on in and move the wheel.

Did that already rootkit. Checked everything every way but upside down lol. Wheels on ground, move steering wheel, check it all over, one wheel in air, move that wheel, check it all, then Other wheel. Only way I could get more thorough is to disassemble and visually inspect each connection

Since they did the whole front end, it's possible they put in too much camber.

Sounds like wheel balance to me. If the shop has a newer road force Hunter wheel balancer have them turn off the Smart weight feature.

It is supposed to save the shop money on wheel weights and in my opinion it doesn't properly balance the assembly.

Try a different shop to have the balance checked.

Vibration up front

My 03 with 150k had bad universal joints that caused vibration even after I had tires balanced. Cracked housing of tranny before I discovered what caused it for most expensive repair I ever had!!! Universals mostly have no grease fitting and are good for 100k and then on "borrowed time! I think best way to check joints is to have on a lift so there is not resistance pressure when you try to grab drive shaft, MHO!

U joints on mine are good. Every single one replaced not too long ago with Spicer blue seals, all greasable. My bet is on either alignment, or stabilizer.
