Good or bad luck today??
Can you run the 2nd gen injectors in the CP head and which head valve cover you gonna run? I vote to put on a 3rd gen and mess with everyone mind. I guess that rattle noisey VP kinda gives it away thu.
Hey bro, did you get that Dragon Flow VP44 in yet???
No I don't have one what I meant was I want to see how much HP they can support. If they can make 8-900hp then I will get one and keep adding on to my truck instead ditching the VP44 and going for a CR truck. Did you call Lou about those 4BT's??
I would of had the truck running yesterday all I had to do was the grid heater/intake horn and the air filter. But the CR head doesn't have spots for the IAT and the MAP sensor so I had plugs welded on the intake manifold cover for them and I didn't measure them right and the darn grid heater wouldn't go on.
And now I have to leave for work for till next week.
BD450, I hate to do this to ya, P pump it.
At least you have a stick and it fairly straight forward mod. I'll do my 02 this fall, I just need to use the truck too much lately and its getting abused in the mud in the north country alot lately.

Well finally got it running last night. Seems to run pretty good has a little bit diffrent tone to it, maybe I am just imagining things though. Gonna try and put a few miles on it and a couple re-torques before I hook it up to the camper this weekend.
you can do it, lots of work. I did it last year five times, inbetween camping, work, and so on. I think its coming apart, you could try the ez out, but those studs are darn hard. Bad luck buddy. It gets better just hang in there. Could just buy a ford and just replace the motor instead of oil.
I have a set of 24v studs at home, never used. I can give you a stud if you get your bad one replaced with a new one. Let me know. Mine are in Airdrie, a bit of a drive for you, but it will get you out of a bind. The other half should come out pretty easy unless you torqued it into the block, which is a no-no. If you take the top half and put it back in the hole, match up the split, and turn it out, I bet it will come out.
Man you have as bad, if not worse luck than I do. But what Tate is saying should work. They shouldnt be torqued in at the bottom and should turn out pretty easy, and once you have it threaded out, you will need a fairly good magnet to pull it out the rest of the way.
Haha, yeah I think its just the may long weekend nothing ever goes right around this time, took the camper home and noticed it had a broken window also.
I guess it’s kind of ironic, somehow I was reading this thread yesterday post #23

and was thinking using the pipe and welding it to the studs was pretty slick. But I didn’t like it enough that I really wanted to try it.
I have a feeling that it might be torqued into the block I tried turning it out with the stud and it had a pretty good bite but it wouldn’t turn. But I was so mad I didn't try to hard. I'll see what I can do today to get it out of there.
Tate I appreciate the offer I am gonna check a few shops and see if they can help me out if not I might take you up on that.

Yep standard ARP (2000's I believe), had them at 135ft/lb and I had lots of moly lube on them.
